Tattoo Anyone

Last night I went to check on Jaiden and found her writing her name with ink all over her legs,hands, and feet. I asked her why she was writing on herself and she said she wanted a tattoo. So here is some of the little artists work.

Finally!

I finally got my extra bedroom all put together with a new comforter and pillows. This is the first house we have had that we actually use the extra bedroom as an extra bedroom. We moved in in May of '07 and here it is 14 months later I finally found one I like. Penney's was having an awesome sale on the comforter and I got my pillows at Kohl's. I painted the room ponytail brown (thank you Amber) and chocolate last summer and have been looking for something to catch my eye since. Here it is, what do you think?

Gotta Love Sidewalk Chalk!

It was so nice out yesterday evening we wanted to play outside. It was a cool 80 degrees with no humidity (one nice thing about living in Iowa) and a breeze. The neighbor girl wasn't home and Jaiden didn't want to ride her scooter or bike by herself so we decided to do sidewalk chalk. She wanted to make a self portrait. So I traced her body and helped her with the "detail". It was actually kind of relaxing.

Does anyone else's child do this??????

Jaiden has a toy room in the basement and our basement flooded a couple of months ago so a majority of her toys are in her room now until the basement gets finished. She loves playing in her room but she destroys it. Here is what it looks like before she goes in her room to play.

Mmmmmm Watermelon!

Jaiden loves watermelon! She couldn't even wait for me to cut it up for her.

New Scooter!

The neighbor girl Jaiden plays with has a scooter and Jaiden wanted one so bad, except she can't ride one. I don't know if Jaiden is not coordinated, still too little, or what, but she cannot balance and pump her foot at the same time. So we went to wal-mart and we found a 3-wheeled scooter. It is a princess one so she just had to have it. She is a little big for it but oh well she has fun with it. Maybe after a few months of getting the motion down she can graduate to a 2 wheel scooter.

Ear Piercing

Sunday Jaiden asked if she could get her ears pierced. She is 4 so I thought sure, if she is old enough to ask to get it done then she is old enough to get them done. So Eric, Jaiden, and I went to Claire's. We get there right when they were opening so we sat in the middle of the mall for a little bit and we talked about what earrings she was going to get. She wanted pink flowers. So we get in there and sit down. She wanted to sit on my lap while she got them done for a little "comfort". They cleaned her ears, had to mark them about 3 times to get them even, and then they get the earrings in the guns and.............

She chickened out! Yes, we came home with dots on our ears. The poor thing, her heart started beating faster and faster, then the eyes teared up and then she started crying out loud and covering her ears saying "I don't want to do this, I want to go home" over and over. So we left. On the way home she decided she needed to be 5 before she gets her ears pierced.
